I found this poor fella in the road when I went for a walk in my neighborhood about a week ago.   Just around the corner from where I found the squished snake, I had previously seen two owls in a tree top and about another block away from that, I've seen a hawk atop a telephone pole.   I suspect that if a car had not killed the little snake, the  ( Read more... )

I've been trying to post these pics for days and couldn't do it.  Ever since Lj went down last week, it's been acting screwy!  Anyway, these aren't anything special.  I go for walks in the evenings, about 8:00 p.m., right before dark.  I've been walking in this same neighborhood for years, seeing the same houses and yards over and over again.  ( Read more... )
